Chia sẻ về quy trình kiểm soát chất lượng dây custom hỗ trợ sạc bán ra tại 15cables:

Để đảm bảo an toàn cho thiết bị/pin, ngoài sử dụng củ sạc chất lượng, thì dây sạc-công cụ truyền tải điện phải đáp ứng được tiêu chuẩn sạc và phải bền bỉ.

Lý do mình chọn chuẩn PowerDelivery vì đây là một chuẩn sạc thông dụng có thể sử dụng thông qua kết nối Type C to C, có khả năng tương thích cao với nhiều thiết bị: laptop, Macbook, điện thoại,...

Chuẩn sạc này có khả năng cung cấp công suất đầu ra linh hoạt, từ 0,5-100W, dựa theo 5 mức điện áp 5-9-12-15-20V, với cường độ dòng điện tối đa cho từng mức là 3A, riêng tại mức 20V sẽ có thêm cường độ dòng điện 5A để đạt mức công suất 100W.

Việc kiểm soát chất lượng của mình với dây sạc này bao gồm những gì?

Về kĩ thuật, dây USB hoàn toàn có thể tải được công suất đến 1000W, tuy nhiên theo tài liệu tham khảo, linh kiện dây có E-marked chip, chất lượng lõi dây phải hỗ trợ dòng điện 5A theo yêu cầu hỗ trợ EPR(Extended Power Range), dây phải đáp ứng tiêu chuẩn về nội trở và độ sụt áp.

Dưới dây là nội dung test dây, áp dụng với dây độ dài 120cm, theo các tiêu chí sau:

1. Không chỉ sử dụng thiết bị cuối để test dây.

Các củ sạc nhanh và thiết bị ngày nay hỗ trợ nhiều mức công suất đầu ra tại điện áp và cường độ dòng điện khác nhau. Quá trình sạc nhanh trải qua 3-4 giai đoạn (phase), được thiết bị thông minh tính toán theo phần trăm pin, nhiệt độ pin,... Công suất sạc sẽ đạt tối đa tại mức pin thấp, sau đó giảm dần. Vì vậy test dây qua điện thoại, laptop chỉ phản ánh được công suất tại một thời điểm mà không nói lên được sự ổn định của hiệu điện thế-cường độ dòng điện trong thời gian đủ lâu, cũng như kiểm tra hoạt động của dây tại các mức công suất khác nhau. Đồng thời không thể stress test bằng cách này.

2. Kiểm tra nội trở, sụt áp trên dây.

Bất kì dây dẫn điện nào cũng có hiện tượng sụt áp ở 2 đầu. Nội trở (IR-InternalResistant) của dây càng lớn thì hiện tượng sụt áp càng nhiều. Nội trở ảnh hưởng bởi 1 số yếu tố: điện trở của dây, của linh kiện và mối hàn.

P = U x I, với cường độ dòng điện không đổi, nội trở gây sụt áp và hao tổn công suất đầu ra, chuyển thành nhiệt năng. Đây là lý do dây sạc chất lượng không tốt sẽ nóng lên trông thấy sau một thời gian sạc.

Việc đo nội trở/sụt áp sẽ cơ bản xác định dây có thể hỗ trợ cường độ dòng điện cao theo đúng tiêu chuẩn hay không.

Theo khuyến nghị cho dây USB EPR trong tài liệu, tại mức điện áp đầu vào 5V, sụt áp trên chân Vbus và chân Ground phải nhỏ hơn 250mV tại mức dòng tối đa dây hỗ trợ. Mình test tại nguồn ban đầu 5.102V, cường độ dòng điện 3A, mức sụt áp là 180-200mV nằm trong tiêu chuẩn.

3. Test dây tại các mức công suất phổ biến

Đây là các dải công suất tương ứng với các mức điện áp/cường độ dòng điện hỗ trợ bởi củ sạc PD100W. Mình test với chế độ ConstantCurrent: 5V-3A, 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A, 20V-3A và 20V-5A để kiểm tra khả năng đáp ứng của dây tại tất cả các dải điện áp chuẩn PD hỗ trợ.

Constant Current là giai đoạn đầu của quá trình sạc, khi hiệu điện thế (Voltage) đạt đến mức ổn định và cường độ dòng điện được đẩy lên mức tối đa. Sau giai đoạn này, Voltage sẽ giữ nguyên còn cường độ dòng điện sẽ giảm dần xuống, chính vì vậy không thể test dây chỉ bằng cách cắm sạc vào điện thoại, laptop.

Công suất truyền tải thực tế được đo tại đầu ra của dây, thể hiện qua ảnh đồ thị minh họa. Lưu ý công suất thực tế khi sạc trực tiếp bằng thiết bị sẽ còn lớn hơn khoảng 1.5% do tiêu hao trên bộ thiết bị đo.

4. Stress test:

Đây là bài test cần thiết để chứng minh sự ổn định, ép dây truyền tải tối đa công suất thiết kế. Thời gian Stress test của mình là 1h tại mức 20V-5A (đủ để sạc đầy một viên pin laptop). Kết quả sau thời gian 1h, dòng sạc vẫn duy trì ổn định, cả phần dây và đầu dây cắm bên thiết bị không có hiện tượng nóng lên, riêng đầu cắm bên củ sạc bị nóng lên do truyền nhiệt từ củ sạc qua.

Technically, the USB wire can fully load up to 1000W, however according to reference documents, the wire components have an E-marked chip, the wire core quality must support 5A current according to EPR support requirements. Below is the content of wire testing, applicable to 120cm wire length, according to the following criteria:

1. Don't just use the terminal to test wires.

Today's fast chargers and devices support multiple output power levels at different voltages and amperages. The fast charging process goes through 3-4 phases, calculated by the smart device based on battery percentage, battery temperature, etc. Charging capacity will reach maximum at low battery level, then gradually decrease. . Therefore, testing the cable via phone or laptop only reflects the capacity at one time and does not indicate the stability of the voltage-current intensity over a long enough period of time, as well as checking the operation of the wire. at different power levels. At the same time, it is not possible to stress test this way.

2. Check internal resistance and voltage drop on the wire.

Any electrical wire has a voltage drop at both ends. The greater the internal resistance (IR-InternalResistant) of the wire, the greater the voltage drop phenomenon. Internal resistance is affected by a number of factors: resistance of wires, components and solder joints.

P = U x I, with constant current intensity, internal resistance causes voltage drop and output power loss, converted into heat energy. This is the reason why a poor quality charging cord will heat up noticeably after a period of charging.

Measuring the internal resistance/voltage drop will essentially determine whether the wire can support high current according to the standard or not.

According to recommendations for USB EPR wires in the documentation, at an input voltage level of 5V, the voltage drop on the Vbus pin and Ground pin must be less than 250mV at the maximum current level supported by the wire. I tested at the initial source of 5.102V, current 3A, voltage drop of 180-200mV within the standard.

3. Test wires at common power levels

These are the power ranges corresponding to the voltage/current levels supported by the PD100W charger. I tested with ConstantCurrent mode: 5V-3A, 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A, 20V-3A and 20V-5A to test the wire's ability to respond at all supported PD standard voltage ranges. .

Constant Current is the first stage of the charging process, when the voltage (Voltage) reaches a stable level and the current intensity is pushed to the maximum level. After this period, the Voltage will remain the same and the current will gradually decrease, so you cannot test the wire just by plugging the charger into your phone or laptop.

Actual transmission power is measured at the output of the wire, shown through graphic illustrations. Note that the actual capacity when charging directly with the device will be about 1.5% greater due to consumption on the measuring device.

4. Stress test:

This is a necessary test to prove the stability and compression of the transmission line to the maximum design capacity. My Stress test time is 1 hour at 20V-5A (enough to fully charge a laptop battery). As a result, after 1 hour, the charging current remained stable, both the wire and the plug on the device did not heat up, only the plug on the charger got hot due to heat transfer from the charger.
